Living Archive: Blak Resistance and Joy
Blak Creatives Exchange, City of Moreton Bay Gallery & Munimba-ja Art Centre
Co-curated Living Archive: Blak Resistance and Joy as part of the Blak Creatives Exchange, a professional development program delivered in partnership between Munimba-ja's Blak Creatives Program and the City of Moreton Bay Gallery Team. Collaborated with a cohort of emerging First Nations creatives to develop the exhibition from concept to completion, including curatorial research, artwork selection, thematic development, exhibition interpretation, and installation.
The exhibition reinterpreted works from the City of Moreton Bay Art Collection through First Nations perspectives, challenging colonial narratives while celebrating Blak sovereignty, cultural continuity, belonging, and joy. Working within a culturally safe, community-led framework, the project centred First Nations voices and demonstrated collaborative curatorial practice.
