Nature + Nurture, CAIA Gradshow, 2025

Nature + Nurture offers a space where the feminine is not reduced, where Country is not commodified, and where culture is not diminished. The exhibition brings together three Australian First Nations women artists, Rachel Bywaters, Serinah Williams and Belinda Fraser, whose practices honour Country, cultural knowledge and resilience.

Across distinct yet interconnected approaches, the artists respond to histories of objectification, erasure and exploitation, instead asserting narratives grounded in self-determination, cultural strength and continuity.
